Our Farewell Pot Luck with the Pastor

12 PM to ??, Saturday, August 5, 2017

Good Shepherd will be holding a bittersweet Pot Luck Luncheon as we bid a fond farewell to our beloved Pastor Ken Blyth as he moves on to a new and exciting chapter in his journey of serving our Lord and Savior.

Please sign up on the sheets provided in the Narthex and plan to join us for a warm time of food and fellowship over a Pot Luck Luncheon, followed by a program of fun and frolic kicked off with a special performance from our occasional Praise Band, The Flock.

There will also be time provided to reminisce and say a few words to Pastor Ken. We won't be saying "Goodbye," just "Until we meet again."
Be there or be rectangular!

New Worship Setting Survey

Please share your opinions and insight! We welcome everyone's feedback on the worship setting we are currently using, which is Marty Haugen's Now the Feast and Celebration. You may download a PDF copy of the survey here. (Right-click on the link and choose "Save As" to download the form.)
You may print the survey to mail in or bring to the church. You may hand it to one of the Ushers or place in the offering plate if you prefer.

Should you wish to email the form, please edit the file and from your FIle Menu choose "Save As" and change the name to something like "MySurveyResponseJune13th.pdf." Completed forms may be emailed to the Good Shepherd Administrative Offices via the E-Mail Button on the PDF form itself.

Thanks for your participation! Your input is of great value, and we heartily welcome it.

Sunday, October 29th is Reformation Sunday-- and the 500th Anniversary of Luther's historic posting of his 95 Theses on the door at Wittenberg. Plan to be Wearing Something Red!
Please watch this space for updates on Good Shepherd's observations of this Commemoration of the Reformation... the family reunion 500 years in the making!

We are happy to report that Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, renowned for the warmth and cameraderie of our after-church Fellowship Hours, will now continue to have Fellowship Hours on Sundays. Although we have fallen on times of too few volunteers to work the counters and the kitchen, the Hospitality Committee' efficient Plan to utilize only paper cups and plates and serve only cookies seems to be working well.  (If you would like to have a cake for a special event, please plan to bring plasticware to serve with it.)  As ever, the harvest are many and the workers are few, so if you feel you are hearing the call to volunteer to help out, please do.  Contact the church office to be directed to the proper folks.  We always need your assistance and would be glad to have it!

Important: Changes to the Good Shepherd Media Center CD Ministry

Thank you for your patience.  We have recently become a subscriber to OneLicense.net and now may include musical selections, so we are presenting the Sunday services in their entirety, rather than separate pieces for Word and Sermon and Announcements. Shut-ins will receive copies of the CD as before. We will ask other congregants to order a CD recording only if they were sick/confined to home on the Sunday in question (homebound.)
